Arrow Marine Services has been a part of the Vancouver community since 1918, beginning as Kitsilano Auto Express. Founder Chuck Charles enlisted the help of family members to run the fledging company. Later his son, Jack Charles, would become Chairman and CEO of Arrow Transportations Systems Inc, now known in Western Canada as one of the largest trucking firms in British Columbia. Their signature yellow trucks serve the forestry and mining industries, specializing in mining and railroad reload services, bulk hauling and heavy hauling.
Looking to provide quality marine services to fill a need in the Lower Mainland, Arrow expanded to include Arrow Marine Services. The purchase of a new 220 Ton Marine Travelift created a demand for the full service shipyard that exists today.
