Pacific Marine Expo will be in Seattle, Dates have been announced to be on November 16 – 18, 2017, for the 51st Pacific Marine Expo, the West Coast’s largest commercial fishing and marine industry trade show held at the annual Seattle location at Century Link Field Event Center, in the heart of downtown.
“Pacific Marine Expo will return to CenturyLink Field Event Center in Seattle from Thursday, November 16, through Saturday, November 18,” describes Denielle Christensen, event director for Diversified Communications, who produces the show. “Last year’s Expo was tremendously successful, with nearly more than 500 exhibitors and over 8,500 visitors from 40 states and 24 countries. With the continued growth and strength of the fishing and workboat industries, we expect another outstanding year in 2017.”
The Expo serves all aspects of the market, including commercial vessel owner and operators, commercial fishermen, boat builders and seafood processors. To many the Northwest Pacific Marine Expo is also what feels like as one big family reunion, from at sea to land, lots of stories to be told and hugs to go around.
“Just add water” is the theme of the 2017 Expo because “the show offers everything for those in the commercial fishing and marine industries under one roof,” according to Christensen. “If you make your living on the water, you just can’t afford to miss it.”
In addition to a large show floor featuring the latest products and services, the 2017 Expo will include a free educational conference, Safety 101 Program, industry demonstrations, keynote addresses, the King County Maritime Economic Forecast Breakfast, Job Fair, a special Fishermen’s Lounge, daily free happy hours, performances by Fisher Poets, and the Fisherman of the Year contest sponsored by National Fisherman magazine.
New this year at the 2017 Pacific Marine Expo in Seattle is an exciting Alaska Pavilion which will brings together exhibitors from Alaska in the East Hall of the Event Center.

“We had to adjust our show schedule around Seattle Seahawk games and other CenturyLink Event Center events,” Christensen noted. “We adopted this schedule because the alternate choices were not ideal for many of our customers. The week before Thanksgiving is when our audience wants to attend Pacific Marine Expo.”
