Wizard, Deadliest Catch, Alaska Bering Sea Crabber, hits their homeport of Seattle in the Ship Canal Mid. Feb. 2017. Their homecoming morning started with a Ballard Locks lift into the ship canal, now put to bed between Fishermen’s Terminal and Ballard Oil. The crew will hopefully and most likely be putting their Happy Hour Crabber Crew Stamp on Ballard this evening in the lower 48. The AK Crabber, Wizard is a Seattle Ship Canal staple, long before the Deadliest Catch TV show; to those of us locals it’s still a novelty that people would want to watch crews of dirty, stinky guys on deck drop and pick pots over and over… well Deadliest Catch enters its 13th season, turns out people, fans do enjoy watching.

Alaska Bering Sea Crabbers had one heck of a snotty season in the Bering Sea this past crab season(s). In this very same week that we find out F/V Destination as sank in Alaska’s Bering Sea taking 6 souls on board, in Mid. Feb. 2017, safely pulling into the Seattle Ship Canal is the F/V Pinnacle and F/V Wizard, God bless our AK Bering Sea Crabbers and their families on land and at sea this harsh unforgiving season that took lives.
