superyacht2

Superyachts from around the world flock to FLIBS 2014!  The Fort Lauderdale has long been considered to be the “Yacht Capital of the World,” so it’s no surprise that it’s also host to one of the world’s biggest yearly yacht and superyacht shows: The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, also known as FLIBS. Now in its 55th year, the show features just about every kind of boat you could ask for: runabouts, sportfishers, high performance boats, center consoles, cabin cruisers, flats boats, skiffs, express cruisers, sailing yachts, motor yachts, bowriders, catamarans, ski boats, jet boats, trawlers, inflatables, canoes, and of course… extraordinary superyachts.

The show is a whole heck of a lot more than just more beautiful boats, however, as the indoors side of the show is just as vast as the out. Expect rows and rows of companies exhibiting their wares, including vendors, creators, outfitters, innovators and everything in-between. Your favorite brands will all be there, along with brands that will be soon to be new favorites.  You’ll also be walking away from the show a smarter boater than ever before, thanks to the variety of seminars held at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.  Seminars will be held by great folks such as the IGFA School of Sport Fishing, who runs 8 mini-sessions of tip & tricks for anglers amateur to professional, and The Blue Wild who run dive and travel show seminars during the show. And of course, you’ll be in Fort Lauderdale, so expect hot spots galore day and night.

If you can make it to FLIBS, make sure you go out of your way to check out the superyachts below. Whether or not you can afford this much luxury, you can always take a look inside for free- and it’s worth every penny.
