Starbound Catcher Processor gets an afternoon Western Towboat assist from the Puget Sound at the ‘Y’ of Shilshole Bay into Ballard Locks then up through our narrow Seattle Ship Canal. Tug Wasp and West Point get into position making it look easy as they do their per usual assist to catcher processors, these salty seasoned Western Towboat Pacific Northwest Captains and Crews work their teamwork and at sea magic.
Fall in the Pacific Northwest, lower 48 is sprinkled with Catcher Processors returning to Seattle region waters, they make their way into the busy ship canal where marine traffic is none stop. C/P Starbound is 240 ft. LOA, beam of 48 ft. draft of 17 ft. she’s a big girl mainly for Alaskan Pollock. It’s a happy day when this ship’s crew see’s the likes of entering the Ballard Locks, getting off the boat and getting home.

Tug Wasp and Westpoint cruised out to meet Starbound they then saddle up on the hip to bring C/P Starbound safely through the Ballard Locks and Seattle’s Ship Canal.
