The Seattle Boat Show 2017, 70th Annual , Indoors + Afloat opens on Friday Jan. 27th to Saturday Feb. 4, 2017 at CenturyLink Field Event Center and South Lake Union, with a complimentary shuttle running continuously between both locations. The Seattle Boat Show is the West Coast’s largest boat show and it features over 1,000 boats and yachts, more than 3 acres of accessories, boating gear, marine supplies and electronics, 400 plus exhibitors, 200 plus free seminars, a marine industry PNW career fair put on by the NMTA and advanced training classes for a fee. 400+ Open Positions in Booming Recreational Marine Industry – The Northwest Marine Trade Association (NMTA) is organizing a career fair at the Seattle Boat Show featuring 30+ local marine-related businesses with ~400 full-time positions plus many seasonal ones. Attendees at the Career Fair will be given free admittance to the Boat Show for further networking opportunities.

The Pacific Northwest recreational marine industry is experiencing great growth. Other affiliated businesses – local boat builders, yacht outfitters, boat yards and more – are experiencing similar growth, creating many job opportunities. The immediate openings are for all facets of business such as sales, customer service, administration, some seasonal, but most of the need and open positions are for skilled marine technicians, experienced mechanics and skilled laborers, such as fiberglass work and repair, welding, glazing, rigging and marine painting.

Attendees will be given free admittance to the Boat Show for Monday Jan. 30so that they may explore the show, talk to exhibitors and learn more about the boating business and lifestyle. The show opens at the conclusion of the career fair at 11 a.m. and runs until 8 p.m.

West Marine Northwest Salmon Derby Series: While at the show, stop by to view the grand prize for next year’s West Marine Northwest Salmon Derby Series – a 22-foot welded aluminum Hewescraft Ocean Pro, powered with Honda 250 and 9.9 horsepower outboards on an EZ Loader galvanized tandem axel trailer, fully outfitted with Scotty downriggers, Raymarine electronics and a Dual Stereo system – an $85,000 value.
