Seattle Seahawks fans might cheer from the sidelines, but on the field they give the Seahawks a 12 on 11 advantage every play for every yard. The impact of their loud and relentless support have become a Northwest tradition. They are The 12th MAN.  Seattle’s fans are known as the loudest in the NFL, so much so that the league instituted a noise rule in 1985. Despite the rule, the 12th MAN continued the tradition, giving the Seahawks a home field advantage to this day.

Seahawks home games at CenturyLink Field are legendary for their ear shattering noise. An environment so hostile to opposing teams it has fueled the Seahawks defense to stop drives at the one yard line while carrying the offense to touchdowns that shake the earth. Just before kickoff at every home game, a giant flag is raised in honor of the 12th MAN. From former Seahawks greats, to local celebrities raising the 12th MAN Flag has become a symbol of Seahawks supporters all over the Northwest.

Seahawks won the 2014 Super Bowl, before they won they were talking about a repeat to the super Bowl on the following year.  Let’s see if they can put their ‘talent where their mouth is, the proof will soon be in the pudding!’ Now they’re determined to do it again. History proves, though, that the front office, coaches and players each face problems that make a repeat difficult.  “That’s the thing,’’ says former Baltimore Ravens coach Brian Billick, whose team won Super Bowl XXXV. “Everybody talks about how hard it is to repeat as Super Bowl champions when it’s so hard just to win one.’’

Repeating a Super Bowl Championship or just making it to the Super Bowl 2 years in a row – this is the challenge in front of the Seahawks after they captured Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb. 2, 2014 at MetLife Stadium with a 43-8 win over the Denver Broncos.  With the legal usage of Marijuana in Washington and Colorado the 2014 ‘Super BOWL’ literally was the ‘BOWL’ to remember, making history in many ways!

Big dreams for 2015 Super Bowl are  alive and well, “The important thing when you leave this game of football is the legacy,’’ Seattle receiver Doug Baldwin said, maybe a half-hour after the Super Bowl. “And we accomplished one goal. But if you want to be the best of the best, you’ve got to do it multiple times. So we’ve already said it. We are going to win this one, and what’s next is winning another one.’’  Only eight teams have ever repeated since the beginning of the Super Bowl era, of the 1966 season. The 12’s of the Seahawks have full confidence in their team – we will make history, we will repeat and we will be at the Super Bowl in 2015 for the 2nd time in a row!  Beast Mode – GO 12’s!
