Seattle Seafair has hosted Fleet Week on the Seattle waterfront since 1950 in celebration of the men and women who serve our country, the great USA. This year Seafair, along with the Seattle Navy League and the Port of Seattle, is proud to welcome vessels and personnel from the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy. Come to the Seattle waterfront and Piers 66 and 69 on Monday, July 29th at 12:30 pm for a majestic Parade of Ships showcasing these spectacular vessels.
Ninety percent of the consumer products you use every day arrive in the U.S. by way of the ocean. Climb aboard these fantastic ships and see the professional men and women who allow that commerce to flow across the globe to our shores. With 70 percent of the earth’s surface covered in water, it takes state-of-the-art technology to protect the world’s waterways. It is all powered by the best and brightest young men and women from across the United States. Come say hello – you will be impressed!
Fleet Week includes the Parade of Ships, where the Fleet makes its entrance into Elliott Bay accompanied by the spray of the Seattle Fire Department boat, and Ship Tours where guests can go aboard Navy and Coast Guard vessels to get a real taste of life at sea. Both events are free and open to the public.
Seafair proudly supports all military services, and is grateful for their service to our country. In appreciation, Seafair offers free admission to all military personnel to Seafair Weekend Hydroplane Race and Air Show on August 2-4, 2019.
