The Seafair Boat Club is a not-for-profit organization chartered to organize volunteers in support of Seafair festival water-oriented activities throughout the greater Seattle area. Originally formed in 1975, the SBC membership includes over 200 energetic and dedicated volunteers in their 37th year.  The SBC is a Seafair member family, with other member families include the Seafair Clowns, Seafair Pirates, Seafair Parade Marshals, and Seafair Commodores.

The Seafair Boat club’s activities include the Denny’s Milk Carton Derby on Greenlake in July, the Albert Lee Cup at Seafair on Lake Washington in August, and the Special People’s Holiday Cruise throughout the Northwest in December. And especially if you’re not just a fair-weather boater, you can be part of the Seafair Boat Club’s Race Team -and do the impossible.

Seafair’s Milk Carton Derby kicks off the summer season of family fun. Friends & family, local businesses and global ones,  all take part in this exciting event. There are 5 race categories total, and are carefully divided so that all can participate and enjoy. Seafair clowns roam the grounds, too, but so do pirates- look out! And regardless of the weather, the clouds seem to melt away when the Seafair Princess and Her Court drops in.

Huge crowds line the shores along with news teams to catch a glimpse of the “World’s Fastest Race Boats,” and you should too if you haven’t already.
