Coastal Standard, the new ship has arrived! Coastal Transportation is a family owned and locally PNW operated shipping company. Coastal Transportation is the life line to many Alaskan villages, they take great value in serving the communities of Western Alaska and the Aleutian Islands through fast, efficient and reliable cargo transportation. They’re not just a specialized car shipping company like some either, they ship anything and everything imaginable such as vehicles, commercial fishing gear, diapers, groceries, you name it they ship it up and down the west coast, the largest shipping company serving Alaska Villages and Fisheries.

Coastal Standard is ship number 7 in their shipping fleet. Coastal Transportation is a U.S. flag marine transportation company the new vessel has arrived making their fleet of ships at lucky number 7, they have come a long way from former Western Pioneers days. To date all seven vessels have scheduled year-round sailings between Seattle and ports throughout Western Alaska and the Aleutian Islands. Its cargo vessels average and or greater than 260 feet in length, with hold capacities averaging 100,000 cubic feet. All vessels are self-sustaining and 100 percent palletized, enabling a level of speed and flexibility unique to the region. Weather in Alaskan waters does not stop these ships from hitting their delivery dates.

Serving the Pacific Northwest, Seattle, WA and Dutch Harbor, AK terminals are each capable of handling vessels up to 400 feet in length and 20 feet in draft. The Dutch Harbor terminal is among the most efficient in the region, aiding their shipping services to provide a level of ability that is unmatched, literally unmatched, no one runs delivery services from the PNW to AK like Coastal Transportation.
