Brenna A. Captain Sean Dwyer, Deadliest Catch Season 13, 2nd Season Crabbing Brenna A. After Salmon Tendering Home Port of Fishermen’s Terminal Seattle, Fall Back up to the Bering Sea Crabbing! Good Luck Ya’ll!

Brenna A. Captain Sea Dwyer left this early fall heading north back to the Bering Sea of Alaska for another snotty crab season of fishing. To all you fun and crazy women who write us at Salty Dog Boating News asking if the young and tall Sean Dwyer has a girlfriend the answer is YES! Sorry ladies, he’s taken, not to mention he’s hardly ever on land so that doesn’t make for much time…. As for the Brenna A. Crew well ya’ll also ask about them, well if you like young, stinky, sometimes very bratty boys then have at it…. they are fishermen, manners may not apply.  Take if from a Salty Chick who spent most of my years in Bristol Bay, hell on earth seasons our of Dutch, Akutan and running up and down hill, unless your somehow related or working in the maritime industry fishermen aren’t your dreamyest of men on the planet.  Great hearts, hard-working, no pain no gain mental capacity, but social graces are lacking in all land area departments.

Seattle is bursting with Bering Sea Crabbers the end of summer after they run back down hill home to the PNW to get shipyard work done before turning around to run back up hill in early fall back to hit the crab grounds in Alaska’s Bering Sea. Being that south-east AK salmon season finished up extra early this past summer a lot of tenders and crabbers that summer tender were home nearly a month early this past summer. Bristol Bay fishermen are happy most of them did great in the Bay.  Southeast AK fishermen are crying the blues some SE spots the fish just never came…. ugggg… no fun this summer… that’s why they call it going fishing… it’s not going catching…. this is why ‘a rainy day fund’ is extra important to every fishermen and their families!

Ship Canal Crab Boat fueling has been hot and heavy underway in the Seattle Ship Canal. Commercial fishermen have their fueling favorites, of course price of fuel always a factor, and a fav. traditional fueling spot is usually the creature of habit that wins.  Most fishermen are either loyal to fueling at Covich Williams or Ballard Oil, both in the ship canal a stones throw from each other.  Like of Ballard WA, Covich Williams and Ballard Oil have been multigenerational family owned and operated since most of our 1st generation old school fishermen hit Ballard after coming over from Norwegian old country.  The term ‘old country’ is as standard a Ballard term as old school them most attribute their fishing success or folly’s from the ‘old school of hard knocks’, the Ballard way, where your word is still good for something and a hand-shake will still get the deal done or in many case the part fixed or delivered!
