Ballard SeafoodFest, July 7 – 9, 2017, Join the fun, Ballard Breweries, Trident Seafoods Wild Salmon, Live Music, Vendors, Arts and Events!  Ballard SeafoodFest features an annual event, enjoy Trident Seafoods Alder Smoked Wild Salmon, BeerFest is featuring over 25 local beers, wines and spirits and live music, next to the main stage.

Trident Seafoods, Wild Alder Smoked Salmon Dinner is not to be missed, a Festival favorite, you must have seafood! Along with perfectly prepared salmon, enjoy delicious garlic bread – courtesy of Larsen’s Danish Bakery – cole slaw, and your choice of water or soft drink. You will usually see the Ballard Oil Crew running the salmon grilling station while Ballard Oil, Warren – A Ballard Legend is leading the salmon grilling action. Ballard SeafoodFest couldn’t happen without it’s generous salmon sponsors: Trident Seafoods, Ballard Oil, Occidental Lodge.

Ballard’s commercial and industrial fishing community joined forces with the Ballard Elks to start SeafoodFest in 1971, it’s been an annual tradition ever since. Ballard SeafoodFest in July is branded as, ‘a tribute to the WA State Fishing Industry and the Scandinavian heritage of many of the settlers of the Northwest Seattle community. Note: most of our local Ballard fishermen in July are up literally fishing in Alaska, as Bristol Bay still, today has the largest salmon run in the world. Most local salmon fishermen return home to the lower 48 between end of July and September.

Deadliest Catch, Alaska Bering Sea Crabbers, Commercial Fishing Boats are spotting often on their off seasons around Ballard, Magnolia, the WA Ship Canal and on Lake Union at Northlake Shipyard. It’s always a seasonal active fishing industry in the Pacific Northwest with boats running up and down hill from Alaska and throughout the vast and seafood rich west coast USA. Fall and winter these Deadliest Catch Alaska Bering Sea Crabbers do their per usual crab fishing in the Bering Sea; come summer they are tendering throughout Bristol Bay and Southeast AK, F/V Northwestern, F/V Wizard, F/V Summer Bay, F/V Saga, F/V Time Bandit, F/V Brenna A.
