Alaska Bering Sea Crabbers: Support our AK Fishermen, Deadliest Catch Season 15, Fishing Alaska Bering Sea AK crabbers literally risk life and limb every season as they return to fish in Alaska’s stormy seas. Alaska crab fisheries are still the most lucrative fall and winter fishery in Alaska. Crab boats out of Dutch Harbor and Akutan are loaded with crews strong at heart of the sea, the occasion greenhorn adds a little spice to each season.
The tough in mind survive and return. Hauling thousand pound crab pots nearly 7 ft. by 7ft. by 3 ft. soak from about 5 – 24 hours upon the captain’s discretion and or superstition of those grounds before hauling back on deck. Thank you Alaska Bering Sea Crabbers and all the fisheries who bring this delicious crab home to our dinner plates!
