Seattle Seahawk Football fans are no doubt the loudest in the NFL. NW fans are so loud that the league instituted a noise rule in 1985. Despite the rule, the 12th MAN is still extremely ‘loud and proud’ – as a continued tradition. In 2003, the 12th man was honored once again, this time with an official 12th man flag. The tradition of the 12th man flag began on October 12, 2003.
As tradition at every home game just before kickoff, the 12th man flag is raised in honor of the 12th man – Pacific NW fans by land and sea! From former Seahawks legends to local celebrities and sports personalities have been called upon to raise the flag – its now become a great honor to represent the fans – 12th man.

12th Man – Sets Sound Barrier Records – January 8, 2011 Seahawks fans literally shook the Earth during the NFL playoff game against the New Orleans Saints. Century Link Field exploded and erupted with excitement during the 4th quarter when Marshawn Lynch made an amazing 67-yard touchdown run, broke half a dozen tackles, and put the Seahawks up 41-30 over the Saints.
A Guinness Book World Record was set by the 12th Man – on December 2, 2013, at CenturyLink Field, against the New Orleans Saints, Seahawks fans registered a decibel reading of 137.6. Seahawks fans might cheers from the sidelines, but from the field they give the Seahawks a 12 on 11 steadfast advantage every play for every yard. The impact of their loud and relentless support have become a NW tradition.

As far as the National Football League is concerned, summer vacation has officially come to a close. Seattle Seahawks lost on August 7, 2014 to Denver, Broncos. Of course this was a royal upset to the NW 12th man – fans are clearly upset yet have faith in this years season leading up to another – 2nd Superbowl 2015 Victory or the Seattle Seahawks. Boaters from around the Pacific NW, from fishermen to Alaska to Lake Union Superyachts – our 12th man fans are loud and proud! Go Hawks!
