Chuck Bundrant, Trident Seafoods founder and amazing owner passed away October 17, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family and loved ones. Legend is the first word that comes to the mind of anyone who know or worked with or for Bundrant at Trident Seafoods. Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood company in North America.

Bundrant co-founded Trident in 1972 and grew it into a massive $2.6 billion giant that harvests, processes and markets frozen and fresh seafood. Bundrant, credited with popularizing pollock, which was considered a trash fish, selling it to chains like Long John Silver’s and McDonald’s. Forbes Magazine added Chuck Bundrant and Trident Seafoods to their Billionaires Club, no bad for a 19 year old guy from Tennessee that drove cross country in 1961 with $80. in his pocket, became a fishemen, bought one boat, then another and then the Trident Seafoods Empire kept growing.
